The Bush administration has lowered casualties among U.S. troops by sinking one half of a trillion taxpayers' dollars into mercenaries hired from "companies" owned by Bush cronies, and another half trillion into arming insurgents in areas the administration is evacuating after losing to insurgents  (isn't that all the insurgents ever asked for, all along - evacuation with the arms left behind?!). . Like Ronald Reagan did Saddam Hussein and also, of course, the Taliban in AfghanistanThat can only turn out well. The other trillion has disappeared into the pockets of Cheney, Haliburton, and the ring of military officers suspected of fraud in tens of thousands of contracts. Meantime, they're trying to build up an "Iraqi" military force loyal to themselves. How's that army-creation going, by the way? Going well? Embedded Wonkette correspondents tell us: yeah, no, they’re screwed.
