Started?  I started drawing while sitting in those uncomfortable church pews. We went to church every Sunday. Luckily the church seemed to provide a blank peice of paper within the weekly bulliton, me and a late friend would draw funny pictures on them in attempt to crack each other up during the sermon. Sometimes it worked to well. I guess I was in grade school then.

Where? I lived in Siletz from the 8th grade until
I graduated high school. Before that I lived all over the northwest. Siletz was really fun. Lots of swimming, I still dream of the rope swing. It got torn down by people who bought the property. My father was a BIA agent but there was no tension at all with the native Americans that I can recall.
Above: Jeremy's first cartoon, character, created by his friend Ryan and developed by both.

Siletz? In Siletz we went swimming or played sports with friends. I remember a lot of mud football and basketball. We played pool at the pizza pub sometimes too. When I got older we usually drove to newport to skateboard at the "PAC" and harrass tourists on the bayfront. That was the time of my life. we did drive-bys photographing tourists taking pictures of the ocean. I would stop my 74 nova in the street, stare at the tourist untill they looked at us, then my friend would snap a photograph and we would peel out to make our quick getaway. That got us a lot of scowls. It was hillarioius.

Jeremy's second cartoon character, a little better known, created by his friend Lenny and developed by both. . The resemblance to, and legacy from the earlier character is evident.
Toledo? During the freshmen year it was pretty segregated between Toledo kids and siletz kids. There was some sort of fued between the two towns that I did not understand having only lived there for a year. All of my close freinds from siletz went to highschool in toledo, some went to newport high and some just seemed to dissapear.
Line Drawing? I still have't gotten away from line drawing, I don't think. I try to shade and stuff but it just seems redundant to me.  Lines have this energy that I am unable to get with shading. I began to paint in my freshman years of college i guess that is when I found out that paint was easier to shade with. Shading takes to long to keep my interest, however, with paint it is really fast. I like to use big blocks of color in prints tough. Probably just to take up space.
The place of art? There will always be religious art.
I don't really know the status of "Fine Art" in the world right now. I have never been to new york. I think that art serves its purpose to those who will let it.
The grafitti on the wall at the river?  I like looking at the wall. Sometimes it is kind of redundent though. Once and a while you see something new looking. I like the stencil ones around town a lot. I hear that they caused some rucus but I cannot tell you for sure.
The war?  I think it saddens me. It makes me suspicious.
Conscription? Oh dear. . . I hope they don't try to draft us. I am not willing to go, so please don't try to make me.
